Hello friends,

I wanted to share a video that the printer sent me of the books! I put some music in to make it even more epic, so be prepared for that before you hit play.

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. I can't wait to get these into your hands!

They said production of everything should now wrap up at the end of April. I will keep you posted as I hear more from them.

As always, thank you for your support!

Hello Trusty Backers,

This week I started using Astraltabletop to play some D&D and have some social time with friends. It looks like in the near future I will be using it a lot more as more and more of my friends are staying inside.

You should have received an email from Backerkit with the link to download the virtual tabletop assets for the monsters in the bestiary. I hope this adds to your games in the months ahead.

If you like the Bestiary pack, I will slowly be adding more VTT assets to DriveThruRPG for some of our other titles. Fang & Tooth Tavern is already up here https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/14559/Creature-Curation. I'm going to try to have Treachery at the House of Knowledge up by the end of this week.

I hope you stay safe and get to roll some dice.

Status Update
about 4 years ago – Thu, Mar 19, 2020 at 12:12:02 AM

Hello friends,

Last Tuesday morning I woke up to a message from my manufacturer telling me that the acrylic pawns pricing was wrong and they would now be over 3.5x the initial estimate. It was like a punch in the gut that knocked the wind out of me. I was hours away from traveling to Reno, Nevada for the GAMA Expo where I would be talking to retail game shops about carrying all the RPG stuff that I make. While there I was able to rework some of the files to save some room and consolidate space to drop the pricing down a bit, but they are still coming in at 2.7x the initial cost. As a really small business, this is a huge difference in price.

If the economy wasn't in such turmoil, I would have been able to cover the extra expense with money from my other product lines. It would have hurt, but it would have been feasible. Every store I have reached back out to after returning has slowed or stopped ordering new products as their businesses are getting hit hard as more people self-quarantine, and cities go into lock-down.

Because of this, production is going to slow down a little bit as I try to find out how to resolve the issue. I have requested quotes from a couple of manufacturers who I have worked with in the past. As soon as I have more options, I will let you know. I may even ask for you to weigh in with your opinion on what the best solution is.

Meanwhile, later this week I will be working on digital tokens of all of the monsters from the bestiary. As more and more people are gaming using virtual tabletops, I thought it would be nice if you had access to monsters from Revilo in your games. Anyone who ordered the Bestiary decks and higher for their pledge levels will be getting a link for those files as a thank you for your patience as I work through this hurdle. Bear with me though, as it may be a few days to resize all of the images.

Wherever you are in the world, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and stay healthy.

Everything is in production
about 4 years ago – Mon, Mar 09, 2020 at 11:27:50 PM

Hello trusty backers,

I just wanted to give a quick update. All components are in production and I am awaiting updates from the printer. It currently looks like production will wrap up mid-April and set sail. I should have products by June to pack up and start shipping to all US backers. Other countries will have added items put into their packages and then shipped to our fulfillment partners to help get them to you.

It will probably be a little quiet over the next month, but if you have any questions reach out at any time.

Thanks!

Production Update

Hello trusty backers!

First off, if you didn't receive an email with the link to the Revilo Bestiary or the Print & Play cards as part of your reward, log into Backerkit and then click on your Digital Downloads button. You should see the files there.

Production Schedule

We are running about 3 months behind schedule at this point. I had originally planned on shipping in March but for multiple reasons, we are running behind and should ship in June. First, we were a little behind on delivering final files to the printer. Then the Chinese New Year holiday was extended due to the coronavirus outbreak.  Our manufacturer returned weeks behind when they had originally planned and yesterday I had a video call with them to go over the schedule. Luckily the outbreak in their province has been minimal and their employees are in good health.

The only pieces that are waiting on approval are the books. White paper samples and printed proofs have been shipped. I have received a tracking number and it is currently scheduled to arrive on Monday.  I have blocked a huge chunk of time Monday to get them reviewed and approved so that they can go into production.

What to play

While you wait on the printed products, please dive into the setting and tell us of your adventures! We have some chatter over on the discord going with some awesome folks who have already been making their marks in Revilo! And if you are up for additional content each month you can check out our Patreon. We are about to release the Southern Shanties location (outside the southern wall of Murk's Hollow). This will include 2 npcs, a new monster, and a rare item. There is also a mini-adventure/encounter included in this month's downloads.

As always, thank you all for being a part of this project and helping bring Revilo to game tables across the world!
